LESCO operates as a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) which distributes electricity through its power network to the 6.62 million valued consumers spread across Lahore and the surrounding districts of Okara, Kasur, Sheikhupura and Nankana.

The Lahore Electric Supply Company seeks qualified attorneys who want to fill its Chief Legal Officer position as an upper-level professional post. Candidates should come from a solid professional background along with thorough understanding of power sector legislation and expertise in electricity market regulations.

❖ Qualification And Experience:

• Legal employment requires applicants to have an LL.B. degree from an established university recognized by the Higher Education Commission. A Master Degree (LL.M) together with Bar at Law qualification will receive more favorable evaluation.
• The applicant must demonstrate deep knowledge of relevant legal frameworks specifically the power / electricity distribution sector while maintaining expertise in corporate commercial and contract negotiation fields with priority experience in power sector dealings at national and international levels.
• Exposure of work with Government and also as well as Regulatory Authorities.
• At least 15 years of post-qualification relevant experience in the legal field and as well as sufficient exposure by way of practice before lower and high courts across Pakistan.
• Must have Licensed Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan.
• According to the State-Owned Enterprise Act 2023 the candidate needs to fulfill a set of fit and proper criteria and additional prerequisites.
